Only the hand that erases can write the true thing

This quote from German theologian/philosopher Meister Eckhart complicates the task of blogging, since, indeed, nothing written can resound as loudly, can speak so truthfully, as that which is left alone, unwritten.

Or perhaps this profound idea is simply a clever excuse to not do anything tangible or substantive in this world.  Indeed, I have used it as such.  Until now.  Thus, I affirm this to begin my adventure into writing with the intention of public consumption and contemplation.

  1. I am pleased to witness the genesis of what may be something great. I immediately linked the hand that erases to a common saying in music, the best lyrics are those unheard. The meaning follows along the same lines and while there is truth to the statement, one has to wonder who judges the quality of said best lyrics?

  3. The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao? maybe.
The truth is untellable, wonder always remains a part?
